Sydney Student campaigns a new benchmark in Olympic Design. (10.09.2008) Olympic Design


Once the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games is over, costly venues to the environment are destroyed. You Tan, located in China states “that 65% of Olympic venues such as the Volleyball stadium will be demolished to make way for new housing and commercial projects. The other venues will remain primarily unused.” Linda Bennett, located in Sydney proposes a number of schemes which respond to the idea of building re-use once the athletes have cleared out.

New proposal for East Darling Harbour sets international standard for Environmental Design. (08.08.2008)

East Darling Harbour

In 2006 the East Darling Harbour Competition received an overwhelming number of submissions which proposed variations of traditional planning strategies. One scheme differed greatly from the competition; The UR-3R proposal by UTS Student Linda Bennett anticipated a major recycling facility as part of an integrated and overall theme.
